The Full form of SSC – CGL Staff Selection Commission- Combined Graduate Level Examination which conducts many papers for the recruitment for many posts or jobs in different and various types of departments, ministries and organization which works for the Government of India. The Staff Selection Commissio0n was established in 1975. CGL CBI Inspector Salary-
As the 7th pay commission established in India so the employees of CBI Sub Inspector get an additional payment which is often known as Grade pay. The extra payment they get is Rs 4000 to Rs 5000 per month as per their location, work, post, etc. Therefore the pay scale of CGL CBI Inspector will be around Rs 40000 per month but this is not the final payment as the pay scale differs from location to location area to area and sector to sector.
Also, an Inspector in CBI gets an extra 25% to 30% of basic pay + DA add Special Incentive Allowance which is generally known as SIA of around Rs 11,000.
Overall in hand, the CBI Sub Inspector Salary around Rs-60000 to 65000 per month. ( including HRA, SIA, DA, TA ). If the government provided a revised HRA, the salary will be getting higher.

CGL CBI Job Promotions –
There are many promotions criteria in CGL CBI department. They can either be happened by giving departmental exams or by doing very hard work or by solving many cases. The promotion criteria are given below as follow-
- First Post – Sub Inspector ( SI )
- First Promotion- Inspector
- Second Promotion – Deputy Superintendent
- Third Promotion- Additional Superintendent
- Fourth Promotion- Superintendent
- Fifth Promotion- Senior Superintendent
As mentioned above the promotion criteria and opportunities is good in CBI department. It takes almost 3 to 5 years to get the first promotion that is to become an Inspector in the CBI department. After that, it takes usually 8 to 10 years for the second promotion that is to become the Deputy Superintendent and then you become an Additional Superintendent in your third promotion which takes usually around 10 years. After that in every 4 to 5 years, you get a promotion.
