Who are Loco Pilots, What does it mean?
Loco Pilots is the short form of locomotive Pilots. They are actual pillars of the Indian Railways. On average a single locomotive engine gave two loco pilots for driving it is a good job as the working conditions are very satisfying. Their Duty hours are generally around 8-10 hours.
How to become a loco Pilot?
One can become the loco pilot in Indian Railways by cracking an examination which is conducted by RRB NTPC
Eligibility For the entrance examination Conducted by RRB NTPC
A Candidate must be passed its 10+2 level with at least 65% minimum marks obtained and must be done his/ her diploma, ITI degree Completed form a recognized institute. B. Tech passed students also eligible for Loco Pilot or Driver in Indian Railway.
Qualification:-
Candidate should be passed the minimum educational Qualification require form the posts of loco pilots is Matric or equivalent with ITI from any recognized institute or Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Automobiles branch of engineering.
The Candidates who are just 12th passed are not eligible for RRB-ALP. In order to sit in the exam or to be eligible for the entrance examination, one has to do ITI. So in Simple words, ITI is compulsory to become a Loco Pilot. The Candidate must be passed his/her ITI degree whether it is often 10th or often 12th. The Candidates must complete ITI Course in any specific trade or if you have a diploma degree in the field of mechanical/automobile/electrical/electronics then also you are eligible to apply for this position.
Meaning of RRB-NTPC
RRB- Railway recruitment board conducts Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam to recruit for many vacancies like Goods Guards, Loco-Pilots, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, etc. in all over Indian.
RRB-NTPC Eligibility Criteria of 2019
Age Limit- The maximum age in which the candidate can apply is 30 years for level 2 and level 3. The candidates of OBC Category can apply up to the age of 33 years. and that of SC/SC Category can apply up to the age of 35 years.
The minimum age in which the candidate is eligible to fill form RRB-NTPC Recruitment 2019 is 18 years
